Problems with the site?
Sometimes people complain that they see an error message when they are accessing my website, error message asking them to click on a link in order to validate they are not spam bots or other malware.
While I apologize for this inconvenience, I have mixed news, as follows:
1. Long version
- You have spamwware/ adware/ trojans/ computer viruses or other types of badware installed on your computer. This is usually the case. So, if you see the error, do yourself some good and install some real antivirus solutions.
- No, Antivirus 2010, 2011 and the like are NOT real antivirus software. First of all, they are just some crapware designed to extort your mental sanity out of you so as to pay for a number of days without panicking warning and error messages.
- Do NOT trust a security solution that you have NOT installed yourself. When in doubt, search the internet for details about your antivirus software.
- Keeping a disabled firewall is like having your own Las Vegas neon lights sign lit in the middle of a maximum security correctional facility saying:
- Let me be your slave. Rob me, mock me, bully me and otherwise humiliate me in every f**king possible way.
- You have been warned.
- Quick fix: BitDefender Online Scanner (or search the internet on your own for an alternative solution).
- Permanent fix (well, more or less): BitDefender Antivirus Free Edition, or some other REAL antivirus solution that you can find on your own on the internet, either free or paid.
- No, Antivirus 2010, 2011 and the like are NOT real antivirus software. First of all, they are just some crapware designed to extort your mental sanity out of you so as to pay for a number of days without panicking warning and error messages.
- If and only if you are absolutely sure your system is clean, then please ignore the message.
- If you have a dynamic IP address, most likely someone else who was using it in the past had serious IT security problems.
- The error usually goes away by itself, in 30 (yes, thirty) to 90 (ninety) days.
- If it doesn’t, it’s usually due to crappy ISPs offering even crappier services.
- The error usually goes away by itself, in 30 (yes, thirty) to 90 (ninety) days.
- If you don’t have a dynamic IP, well, I am affraid I might have some really bad news for you, as described in the first part.
- If you are a spider or an e-mail harvester reading this, well, see you in hell, mate.
- If you have a dynamic IP address, most likely someone else who was using it in the past had serious IT security problems.
2. Short version
My website is fine and healthy, something I cannot tell about your computer or ISP network.
