Long story short: after seeing that the code provided by cellunlocker.net actually worked for my new and beloved Nokia Lumia 520 from AT&T, I figured out I could – very cheaply – unlock my LG Optimus LG P700 as well. So, I bought myself the code for a mere 8 USD, The price depends on the carrier, of course, and I was unlocking from Vodafone Romania, to be precise.

So, this is what I did, as seen in the video:

1. Verified the IMEI code of the device (dial *#06# as f you were dialing a phone number, it won’t hurt).
2. Bought the unlock code from cellunlocker.net, 8 USD, using the IMEI and the device details.
3. Powered on the LG Optimus L7 P700 with a blocked SIM (Cosmote Romania, in this case).
4. Followed the instructions in the order e-mail.

Obviously, the device is in Romanian, it was locked in a Romanian network and so on, but the first option we care about is the first one in the Lock/ Unlock hidden menu. Please do make abstraction from language. These menus have the same order, regardless of the language.

That’s it, as simple as typing a few letters.
